During a time of year that is filled with gifting why not give at least one gift to help make the world a better place. In the midst of shopping for Barbies and Trandsformers I truly love the reminder that during the “Season of Giving” we must give back as well. I just adore the concept of Giving Tuesday. As someone that spent yesterday reaping the benefits of Cyber Monday, today, on #GIVINGTUESDAY, I am reminded of many ways I can give back to the local and global community.
As a Johnson & Johnson Social Influencer for Social Good I was given an amazing gift. I was gifted a goat that was given to a family in need via Save the Children. I have never ever received such a gift. Its’s such a meaningful gift and statement that I cried when I read my card. You can gift a goat and more to a family through Save The Children AND Johnson & Johnson will MATCH all donations dollar-for-dollar up to $200,000!!
This holiday season, anyone can join in and support families and babies a few different ways
The Preeclampsia Foundation
The When I Wish campaign is about sharing what we wish we knew during our pregnancies and our hopes for the future. This year, the Preeclampsia Foundation When I Wish campaign is working to raise $25,000 to fund research to develop and test an effective hospital discharge tool for new mothers to include preeclampsia signs, symptoms and life-saving information.
But YOU are the only ones who can make this happen. Awareness saves lives. Education saves lives. Make this wish come true for mothers, babies, and families everywhere. Please make your gift today!! You can also visit the facebook event page: https://www.facebook.com/
Supporting and improving the state of maternal and infant health is a MUST!

Plaid Pajamas
While for many the holidays mean children all snug in their beds while visions of sugar-plums dance in their heads, other children are less fortunate so a new local charity wants to ensure that all children are warmed with love and new pajamas, courtesy of the Plaid Pajamas Project. In two short weeks, the Plaid Pajamas Project has already matched 300 children in need with cozy comfort and is working with schools and domestic violence shelters to bring sweet dreams to those in need.
All pajamas must be brand new with tags attached and not contain any branded characters or wording. While the temptation and intentions are wonderful, Plaid Pajamas Project asks that no additional gifts be sent with the pajamas. Plaid Pajamas Project also accepts cash donations to support delivery, wrapping and other expenses. Pajamas and donations can be mailed to Plaid Pajamas Project, PO Box 186, Berwyn, PA 19312.
