Looking for some fun camp ideas to keep kids occupied and having fun during the summer months? My kids love golf. My husband is an avid golfer and so is my father so it’s only natural that both kids would follow with a passion for golf so when we heard about the PGA of America launching Junior Golf Camps and in NEW JERSEY, I had to share with you all!!!
PGA Junior Golf Camps recently announced that it has selected Plainfield West 9 in Edison, NJ, as a host site for its junior golf camps this summer. The addition of Plainfield West 9 is part of a significant national expansion plan, which will place the camps at 75+ nationwide locations.
The Plainfield West 9 camps will be led by PGA Master golf professional, Bill Castner. Castner was recently awarded the 2015 PGA of America’s Youth Player Development award, one of the industry’s most highly regarded awards, in recognition of his extraordinary and exemplary contributions and overall achievement in the youth player development arena.
The PGA Junior Golf Camps at Plainfield West 9 will offer specialty camps designed for juniors ages 12-17 with advanced skill development. The Next Level Camps curriculum takes a broad approach to cover all aspects of golf, including use of advanced technology such as V1 Video Analysis and BodiTrak Balance Analysis and also significant emphasis on the mental game and physical conditioning. Each student will receive a TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) evaluation and provided golf specific conditioning drills and practice. The camps are taught in a small group environment and also include supervised course play.
“By utilizing tournament-like conditions, junior golfers are taught and tested on those skills identified as being mandatory to successfully compete at the highest competitive junior golf levels. Stroke play, match play, and other like competitions are simulated each and every day of camp — with the end goal being true game improvement,” added Castner.
Camp registration is now open. To register, visit PGAJuniorGolfCamps.com or call 800-PGA-PLAY (888-742-7529).
