My kids have always had piggy banks but recently I was sent a piggy bank to review. How does one review a piggy bank?? Well here is how….You put it in a central place in the house and see what happens!!
I put this FAB Starpoint piggy banks (available at Walmart stores (but not online) for $9.88) in our dining room. We walk through our dining room daily so my goal is to see if we can actually SAVE some money!!
Guess what?? It’s working!!
I have seen both kids “find” money from where we keep change and put it in our Superhero Piggy Bank!
I told the kids the more money we save the quicker we can go on a vacation. I remember being young and my parents started the “Mickey Mouse Jar” It was an old ricotta cheese tub and my father cut a slit in the lid. He would come home from work and always give me the change in his pockets to put in the Mickey Mouse Jar. I swear for years and years I thought I paid for us to go to Disney World!! I am hoping that saving money in our Superman Piggy Bank will leave a similar impression on my kids as they learn the value of saving as well as the rewards!!
Disclosure: I was sent this FAB Starpoint piggy bank to review. It did not come with any money in it and the ideas/opinions are my own!
LOL to your disclosure “It did not come with any money in it” and the fact that you thought you paid for your fam to go to Disney World.
Saving for a family vacation is a great way to teach the kids about money management and being rewarded for saving.
