When the 9/12 Generation Project contacted me to Guest Post from a parenting perspective on their blog I was beyond honored. September 11th changed so many of us and for me it was the day that I saw the entire world differently. If you want to read my September 11th Story you can here https://www.https://www.finneganandthehughes.com/2012/08/15/my-september-11th/
I believe from pain and sadness there always needs to be some kind of light. My light was the kindness I saw in strangers and the way New Yorker’s came together after tragedy. The 9/12 Generation Project has a mission to “inspire and educate 1.5 million middle school and high school students with the positive lessons of humanity, kindness, and citizenship of 9/12 – the day after 9/11– when the Nation came together to help heal New York and those affected by the terror attacks”
