Chances are your family knows someone who is living with a food allergy. This potentially life-threatening disease is increasing at a significant rate, affecting 1 in 13 U.S. children — roughly two in every classroom. The FARE Walk for Food Allergy is a great opportunity to enjoy quality time with your family while teaching kids the importance of giving back to the community. Last year, the Philadelphia Area Walk raised more than $95,000. This year’s goal is $115,000.
Individuals, families and teams work together to raise awareness and funds before the Walk and on Walk Day. In addition, sponsors provide crucial support. Mylan is the presenting sponsor of the FARE Walk for Food Allergy. Additional national sponsors include: Sanofi (Elite Sponsor); So Delicious Dairy Free and SunButter (Platinum Sponsors); TOYOTA, uKnow Peanut, Abbott, and Allergic Living (Bronze Sponsors).
Local sponsors include: Hope Paige Designs, Advocare Allergy and Asthma, Nutricia North America, Ravitz Family Foundation, Tall Pines Day Camp, The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health, and Wegman’s.
FARE’s mission is to ensure the safety and inclusion of individuals with food allergies while relentlessly seeking a cure.
