When my friend Sarah asked me to guest post on her site, I suggested I do a recipe.
Since she always tells me, “I don’t cook,” I wanted to find a simple yet scrumptious snack that was perfect for the Super Bowl.
So I found an amazingly easy and absolutely delicious recipe: Pesto Chips. There are only three ingredients, and the recipe itself is idiot-proof.
But the best thing about this recipe is that you can customize it for any occasion! Make heart-shaped chips for Valentine’s Day or evergreen trees for Christmas…just use any cookie cutters that you have!
One package of wonton wrappers (usually found in the refrigerated produce section)
Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice wonton wrappers in half diagonally to make them into triangles or cut into whatever shape you want. (I made football shapes in honor of the Super Bowl.)
Lay cut pieces of wonton wrappers on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread lightly with pesto using a silicone basting brush like this one and sprinkle with salt.
Bake at 350°F for eight minutes until the edges turn golden.
Remove from oven and let cool. Enjoy!
Overachievers can make their own pesto, but I just used a store-bought jar. I tried to cut the wonton wrappers into football shapes with a knife, but found it much easier to just use my kitchen scissors. If you have small cookie cutters, those would work well, too.
