Christmas is over and it’s almost time to ring in the new year!!  Long gone are the days where I would get dressed up and head into NYC with my girlfriends to party it up for New Years Eve.  It’s been forever since my husband and I went out for a fancy New years Eve dinner.  These days we opt to ring in the New Year with our kids as a family.   If your kids are anything like mine, then they love a good party but can’t possibly stay awake till midnight!!  Enter Netflix to save the day!!

Now on Netflix, King Julien is hosting his very own kid-sized countdown special that you and your family can use to celebrate, no matter the time of day.  The “King Julien New Year’s Eve Countdown.”  is ananimated three-minute video features King Julien, a lemur from the “Madagascar” movies and Netflix original series “All Hail King Julien.”  Click HERE for a direct link to the countdown

And if your New Year’s Eve countdown is closer to 7 p.m. than midnight, you’re not alone. According to a recent survey from Netflix, a third of parents (34%) admitted they either had or planned to start the party early and fool their kids into thinking its midnight long before the ball drops.

Have you met Kind Julien yet??  King Julien, the star of All Hail King Julien, is an adorable little Ring Tailed Lemur.  We had the opportunity to attend the Philadelphia Netflix Premiere and both Hayley and Derek were instantly in love with King Julien (who is a funny little egomaniac!!)

Pots & Pans

Nothing says good old-fashioned FUN like letting the kids bang on Pots and Pans at the stroke of midnight (or 8pm!!)
