Disclosure: I was provided with boots for this post. All opinions are my own
Winter just isn’t winter without a good snowstorm or two. Having little kids that just want to build a snowman and don’t fully grasp the understanding that I have no control over the snow it’s tough to see how disappointed they are when flurries start and end in no accumulation. As a kid, my dad was a New York City Busdriver and on snow days he would work overtime driving the plow trucks. I would get so excited because he would bring the plow to our house and plow all the snow onto our front yard. Then when my Dad got home from work he would dig me out an igloo. They were always so amazing and one of my best memories from childhood.
I have been waiting and waiting for a good snowfall so that I could share some snow fun and memories with my own kids. There is nothing like taking 20 minutes to get fully bundled up and waddling out to play in the snow. I have also been waiting so I could share with you the awesome snow boots I got for the kids from Kamik. I wanted to get great shots of the boots in use so you could see the kids having a great time in the but, as we all know, we can’t control the weather. Finally, one day we got about 2 inches of snow and Hayley and Derek begged to put on their snow boots to go play in the “snow.”
First of all, from a fashion standpoint these boots are gorgeous. Hello, Hayley’s boots are a gorgeous deep purple color with the perfect shade of brown fur trim. I seriously want her boots for me. Derek’s boots are blue and green and the moment he saw them he asked to put them on. I liked that Derek’s boots were stylish yet still very kid-like.
Aside from aesthetically pleasing Kamik boots are great and let me tell you why
EASY FOR KIDS TO PUT ON THEMSELVES
No more yelling “push your foot in” and guessing if the kids feet are in. Kamik boots are super east to get on. My 4 and 6 year olds easily slide their feet in all by themselves.
KEEPS KIDS FEET WARM
Both Hayley and Derek’s boots were tall and kept their ankles and legs covered and dry. The tops were secure enough that we didn’t have to worry about snow sneaking into their ankles yet they were wide enough for their pants to fit inside the boots to lock in warmth. Kamik boots feature Zylex technology which is the ultimate innovation for superior warmth and moisture management. Kamik’s revolutionary three-layer design wicks perspiration away from feet while at the same time trapping body heat and deflecting the cold. And with reinforced seams and heel guard, these liners are incredibly durable.
Derek’s boots are waterproofed with Kamik’s Seam Sealed Technology. This technology makes boots practically impenetrable to snow and moisture without adding any extra weight to the footwear. By specially treating our leathers and nylons, then using waterproof tapes and sealants to cover every seam, it’s like feet are wrapped in a cocoon. So they stay safe and dry.
FLEXIBILITY WHILE WEARING
Both kids had absolutely no problems running in the yard with their new boots on. Derek climbed up on his rain and ran around the whole yard. Kaki’s RubberHe is their own lightweight innovation of a PVC-free synthetic rubber that is 50% lighter than natural rubber and 30% lighter than other synthetic rubbers. And it’s flexible, extremely durable and protective, offering two times more abrasion-resistance than PVC rubber.
Kamik offers some of the most comfortable, protective and durable boots on the market. Kids need boots that will keep their feet dry and protected all day. That’s why moms trust our kids’ collection, and why we’ve been a leader in the category for years. Kamik’s Classic Collection is durable and comfort rated to a least -25 F/-32 C, keeping kids safe and protected as they play in the snow. And this year’s collection offers new colors that kids will love, and boots that are easy to get on and off, which means little hands never struggle with them. With so much to offer both kids and parents, it’s no wonder this collection is one of our most popular. Check them out at http://www.kamik.com/
