Being a mother isn’t easy! There…I admitted it!! Now I didn’t say it wasn’t amazing or rewarding, I just it is not easy! There are so many things we are supposed to, and need to, teach our children. ABCs, How to Read, How to use the toilet, How not to be spoiled while spoiling them and How to Grow up to be a good person that functions in society, plays well with others and doesn’t lie, cheat or steal. See there, now that is some pressure on us moms. That is why I say, Being a mother is NOT easy!!!
There are some nights I go to sleep, staring at my children’s beautiful faces and the fears of the world slam down on me and I just hope and wish that my babies will forever be happy, healthy and safe. There is little we can control about the outside world BUT there is a lot we can do, as mothers, to teach out children to be good citizens. I try to teach my children to be fair, honest and kind but some times I need help and tips on how to actually do this so today I thought I would write a small list of tips to promote Kindness
There are a few tricks I have found to really work when trying to teach my kids ways to make friends and to make others feel included.

Tips To Help Raise Kind Children
2-SHARE: No, it’s not my job to supply all the kids in the class with my son’s favorite Pokemon cards BUT when he has so many cards and there are a select few kids he is playing with, I encourage him to share his cards. To give a a friend a card or two. It teaches him to share and makes the other kids feel special and included.

This is great and it’s actually a conversation I’ve been having with my eldest. She told me that she and her friends started a friendship club. (Oh no I thought.. so it begins). I told her that she can only have this club if she and her friends don’t exclude anyone. And on top of that, they need to be kind and respectful to others. I know we all had “clubs” growing up, but someone always feels left out somehow. The good thing is that the club involves all the girls in her class. I really love #1 though, about learning something about the other kids. I think that’s great.
