My daughter Hayley is turning 5 this fall. I find myself constantly staring at her in bewilderment. Proud and amazed at who she is becoming. Nervous, anxious, excited and hopeful for what the future will bring her. Grateful that at almost 5 years old we have had so many wonderful, loving, joyous moments together as a family and as a mother and daughter. Recently I brought Hayley with me on a week long work trip. We got to take walks holding hands, eat ice cream every day, blow bubbles and truly take in the moments together.
Days turn to weeks, weeks to months, months to years and before I know it my baby girl will be all grown up. Gone will the nights we spent cuddling in my bed. No longer will she follow me everywhere I go (even the bathroom) and I fear that one day she might even think I am not the amazing, center of her universe that she sees me as now. Before that day comes I want to do all that I can with her to show her the good, the joy and the love that the world has to offer her.
From ice cream dates and being silly to traveling and changing the world; I have a long list of things I want to do with Hayley. And so I bring to you, my Mother Daughter Bucket List of all the things I hope to one day do with and for my little Hayley Jane

Thanks Devon!! Everyone needs to dance in the rain from time to time
This really hit home. I don’t spend enough alone time with my daughter 🙁
It’s hard to make the time but when you do it’s so worth it!
Great list!
what cute ideas!!! Pinned for my daughter and I! 🙂
That’s wonderful!!! I hope you come back and let me know if you and your daughter had fun with the items on the list!!
I stumbled into your website by accident, but really by divine intervention. I have 3 children, 2 boys, 14,12, and 1 girl 11. I am currently traveling with my 12yr. old boy in Cooperstown ,NY along with my girl. Finding our way to this idyllic town, I trusted my son’s out of date Google GPS to guide us here. Our Google guide led us through the Catskills mountains….less just say, over the mountains and through the hills and on one lane roads! But that drive gave us magnificent views of mountains and beautiful countryside! Was I sacred no! That was a memorable adventure we’ll never forget! Now, that’s something my daughter and I can start our bucket list with!
Oh Lisa!!! That is amazing!! I am so glad you had that drive!!! When Hayley and I were away we took long walks together, ate out and had LOTS of ice cream!!! It’s all about us remembering to make it special for them!!
These are great ideas. I have a four month old daughter and I can’t wait to do some of these things with her!
I love this so much! There’s things on here that I was happy to have experienced as a kid (like making something out of wood) and it will be important that the girls do too. Thankfully my hubby is such a great girl dad– they help him outside with yard work and he reads to them every night.
