As we continue our losing battle of the summer ending and with Back to School being all the rage, I have been trying to prep our home for a new routine to better organize our morning rush and afternoon homework sessions. Since my oldest is starting first grade and my youngest is starting Kindergarten, the majority of our supplies are crayons, markers and pencils.
When the fabulous folks at Crayola sent us over this amazingness, I knew I had to find a way to display our markers and crayons so that the kids could easily access them and feel like they were free to color at any time. They LOVE to color and draw so with all their new amazing supplies I wanted to figure out a way to make their Crayola supplies easily accessible.
I wanted something fun and a little different. I have been wanting to do a DIY project for a while and with a little help from my husband (on a lot of help, he did most of the work) we were able to create this awesome DIY Kids’ Craft Supply Organizer!
Wood glue
Three wood clamps
Chop saw
Hand Sander
150 and 220 grit sand paper
1 ½” x 3 ½ clear pine
2 paint brush
One can of clear coat
1 ½” drill bit
Hand drill

After the glue dried I ran to the store and that is when my husband drilled the holes. I don’t have any photos of this process because he is not a blogger and he doesn’t believe everything he does needs to be photographed 😉 SO….He saidheDrilled down 3 1/2inchesand measured1 1/2″ apart
