It’s Friday and time for some Fresh Picks!! It seems everyone is focused on Back To School and it’s about time I start accepting the reality that it’s happening. Which also means our swim club will close for the summer, boo! We did sign up for the soon to open Life Time Fitness which has an amazing indoor zero entry pool so I can’t wait for that to open in October. It helps make the end of summer a bit easier to accept.
I’m bringing you today’s Fresh Picks to help get myself motived and ready for Back To School for my daughter Hayley who is starting Kindergarten!!
1-Thermos FUNtainer: We actually just got back from a trip to Disney and I brought both kids Funtainers. We kept filling them with ice and water and it was perfect. They never, ever leaked and kept the water cold.
2-Crayola Power Lines– My kids love the wedged tip on these markers
3-Mabel’s Labels– We were gifted our first set when my son was born and have been loyal fans ever since! They wash, they don’t peel off and they last for YEARS!
4- Crayola Water Colors– Every little kid needs some paint! It’s like a right of passage and a must have item
5- Write On Notebook– I love this notebook from Staples. Sayings are all the rage and I want my girl to learn and shine!!
6-Blum School Gear– When Hayley saw her Blum School Supply Case she was so excited and couldn’t wait for school to start. This set comes with crayons, pencils, markers, erasers, a scissor, glue stick and more. Hayley has been keeping hers super organized and even brings it to her brothers sporting events!
7-Binder- Though my Kindergartener doesn’t technically need a binder, I am using it to organize her paperwork, homework, art projects and more. We got this and other Back to School basics from Staples.
8-Thermos Funtainer Food Jar– Almost every parent I know gets nervous in the transition from daycare to public school because the teachers stop heating up the nuggets, mac and cheese and more. Thermos Funtainer was our life saver this summer for camp. We would heat up the nuggets in the morning, put them in the funtainer food jar and by lunch they were still warm!
9-Crayons– Enough Said
10-Sneakers- My kids are runners, jumpers and climbers. I want the best shoes out there to provide support for them while they are on their adventures. These Nike Air Max are from Kids Foot Locker.
11- The North Face Chimborazo Hoodie– This super soft, warm and fuzzy hoodie provides the perfect coverage in the fall months. The vibrant colors are eye-catching for young kids and in my opinion you can’t got wrong with anything from The North Face.
12- Firefly Toothbrush– Why not use the start of school to rotate in a new and super cute spinning toothbrush? It’s always a good idea to add good health habits to part of a new routine.
13-Thermos Lunch Tote– My daughter loves My Little Pony and I love how insulated, well made and easy to clean this lunch tote is. Once again Thermos proves to be our best option and go to for all our lunch needs.
What is on your MUST HAVE list for Back to School???

I need to find a good quality water bottle for the girls. The cheap ones from Five Below are just not lasting! Great post!
