Disclosure: We were provided with costumes by Party City to facilitate this post. All opinions are my own.
For as far back as I can remember both of my kids have been obsessed with wearing costumes. Not only do they dress up but somehow they magically transform into whatever character fits best into the costume they are wearing at the moment. This should bring no shock to anyone that knows my children, they LOVE Halloween. I mean like love, love, love Halloween. Their love for Halloween runs so deep that they have been planning for it and talking about it for about 2 months now and here we are in the final stretch. Friday afternoon their costumes arrived. Hayley showed up at the bus-stop with Derek’s to give it to him she was so excited. Both kids ran back into the house and changed quickly. I asked if I could take some pictures and without any pressure or begging by me, both kids, transformed into character said, “OK let’s go” and then this happened
Do you see what I mean? Derek is not dressed as a Ninja here, he is a Ninja here. His delicate finger hold on the tip of his sword.
Hayley, brought in by her brother yet never to be out done by him, flexing her muscles and showing her strength. Do you see Finnegan peeking up from chewing his stick in the right hand bottom corner? He is never too far behind these kids.
I think we have some winners here!! Both costumes came from Party City one of our favorite places to get party supplies and now costumes. Derek loved that his costume came with a shooting star and covered most of his face. There are tons of little details that make him feel like a real Ninja. Hayley loves that her costume has a mask and gloves. She is used to wearing her brother’s superhero costumes but my girl likes a little more sass and fluff to her costume so this Captain America was perfect for her. Party City has so many Options for Girls and Options for Boys. Now I just need to stop in and get something for me to wear trick or treating. I am thinking a witches hat or my old reliable Spider headband.
What are your kids dressing up as for Halloween?
They look adorable!
