On any random day if you could spy on what is going on inside my house I would bet more moments than not that my kids will be found wearing some costumes, glove, headband, mask or disguise. That was the case when the UPS man came by about 3 weeks ago. We were all just hanging as per usual, dressed like Darth and Elsa.
When I opened the box I saw that our awesome friends at Netflix had sent the kids LEGO sets. Seriously, could the Netflix people be any more awesome??!!! They truly spoil us! I showed Hayley and Derek their new gifts and asked them to “pose nicely for Mommy’s blog” and well I am sure you can imagine how that went! Here is the best of the bunch
Both kids were so excited with their new LEGO that they immediately transformed into children again and dove into building. We love LEGOs in our house. I won’t show you a photos of our collection of built LEGOs for fear of judgement but I will say that my dining room table is never LEGO free.
One thing extra special that came with these boxes of LEGOs was a tiny bit of courage and Hayley, for the first time ever, built her own LEGO using the instructions from the book and with no help from me. Part of me cheered and the other felt a teeny pang to my heart that nobody needs my help anymore.
Of course after all this building both kids wanted to immediately watch LEGO Friends and LEGO Bionicle on Netflix. Both kids were super excited and can’t wait for more LEGO Friends to come out!!

Growing up I was never a big Full House fan but ever since Fuller House came out all my friends have been saying their kids love it. I am always watching cartoons and would love to watch a show with humans so we gave it a go. Well….we drank the Kool-Aid and Derek and Hayley are on their THIRD ROUND of binge-watching season 1 of Fuller House. Hayley is especially obsessed, she is pulling for DJ and Matt and loves to say “Oh Mylanta!” Netflix sent us these awesome tees and Hayley is SO EXCITED!!
