When I was given the opportunity to work with SoCozy on my blog I jumped at it!! I have seen their hair products before and now they sell them at CVS. OMG, Rob has this crazy addiction/obsession with CVS and all the coupons he earns there overtime we buy something. SoCozy products are non-toxic and made without parabens, formaldehyde, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic color, propylene glycol. Free of alcohol, gluten, wheat, peanuts and tree nuts. This made it an even better fit for us! Hayley and I love long hair and CVS is our neighborhood drugstore of choice!
6 Simple Ways to Keep Long Hair Manageable
1- Get a Good Brush-
We have found that a flat brush with plastic bristles really gets the knots out. It’s so important to get them all out before bed and in the morning. If not they will just grow and grow into a baseball size knot that will cause A LOT for tears while trying to dismantle it. We have had a lot of luck with The Wet Brush.
2-Use a Good Shampoo-
Just because your children are younger doesn’t mean they need to use baby or cheap shampoos. We recently discovered SoCozy 3 in 1 Shampoo + Conditioner + Wash at CVS. SoCozy boosts as being a salon formula for kids and they aren’t kidding. I love that Hayley’s hair was left silky, smooth and not knotty after washing. I was hesitant to use a 3 in 1 because I worried her hair would be tangled when she got out of the shower but it wasn’t at all!
3-Leave in Conditioner after Shower
While in CVS we also saw SoCozy Leave In Conditioner and Hayley asked for the bottle to try to spray it herself. She spritzed it on her hair after her shower, then we brushed it with her wet brush and her hair was silky smooth!! I loved how excited Hayley was that she could take care of her own hair. Hayley likes to wear her hair in different styles all the time. When she wears it down and her hair wasn’t washed the night before, we use SoCozy Leave In Conditioner in the morning while styling. She sprays a little bit on which makes her hair wet in spots but it dries quickly and really helps keep it tamed down and manageable!
4- Braid it before bed-
I have found that putting Hayley’s hair into a loose braid for bed really helps keep it smooth over night. Then when she wakes up in the morning and takes the braid out it’s usually still a tad bit damp but always smooth and tame thanks to the SoCozy Leave In Conditioner and the braid!
5- Styling Cream-
If Hayley takes a shower in the morning we like to use a styling cream in her hair. She has thick wavy hair so it’s nice to be able to keep it looking neat. We have been using SoCozy Styling Cream from CVS.
6- Braids or Pigtails During The Day
Growing up I loved braiding and styling my friend’s hair. I dreamed of days I could braid and style my own daughter’s hair! Hayley loves braids so when we braid it during the day I find it really helps keep it neat and manageable.
Perk of being a girl mom is I get to play with her hair!!
