One of our favorite getaways as a family is to Hershey, PA. Hershey, PA has so much to offer and no matter the reason or season, my favorite place to stay has always been The Hershey Lodge. I first fell in the with The Lodge when we visited a few years ago for The Sweet Lights at Christmas time. The Hershey Lodge has an enormous 4 sided fireplace surrounded by comfy leather chairs and coffee tables. It’s my favorite spot to sit, relax and sip my coffee in the morning. My kids love the Hershey Lodge because it’s very welcoming and family friendly yet an upscale experience for parents.
When my family and I were invited to get a sneak peek of the new Water Works Facility I jumped at the opportunity. We had seen the photos online and were eagerly awaiting the Twizzler Twists and Reese’s Water Walk. The Water Works has not only on but two 24 foot twisting water slides in their indoor facility. A zero-entry pool and a water play structure similar to a spray ground with slides, sprayers, soakers and more. The larger pool has two basketball hoops and is home to Reese’s Water Walk (think Ninja Warrior and know that I could not get my son to leave)
When we arrived we were immediately greeted by Miss Kiss, Reese and Hershey. My daughter has been waiting to see Miss Kiss since last summer so I was almost as excited as she was to see her greeting us!
From the moment we entered the aquatic portion of the Water Works my kids were in awe. The space is huge, there is a Cocoa Cabana where you can get food, drinks and ice cream!
The Twizzlers Twists are two 24 foot twisting water slides. Both my husband and son had a great time riding the twists over and over.
With two basketball hoops Derek made some friends and they played a basketball game in the pool!
Reese’s Water Walk was perfection for my almost 8 year old. We had to drag him out by the end of our visit!
I loved that there was so much for my 5 year old to do too. She loves to swim in the big pool but is still hesitant to go on the Twizzler Twists so the water play structures were perfect. It had multiple slides of it’s own that Hayley enjoyed
There are two game room at the Water Works. One is filled with your favorite arcade games like Throw the Ball at the Clown, Basketball Shooting, Motorcycle and Car Races, Claw Prize games and Air Hockey.
The second of the two game rooms is focused on a huge LEGO table with two additional Hershey’s themed tables for playing boardgames
The gym is huge and has so much to offer. Check out my videos below to get a better view of the Water Works, Gym and Reese’s Water Walk.
To finish off the night, when we were exhausted and got back to out room, in true Hershey Style, we were spoiled with one more sweet treat!
That looks like so much fun. We’ve never been to the Hershey Park either.
This looks totally cool! My girls would love it.
Looks SO FUN – I am sure my boys would love it!
