As the second week of August is starting it seems as if summer is almost over and Back to School is the new theme. Though I still have a vacation coming up and plan on getting in a lot of swimming hours before September peeks it’s head in; Back to School shopping is totally on my mind. My youngest Hayley is starting Kindergarten! That sentence alone should signal a happy dance because I am done with full time daycare payments! Kindergarten seems so grown up and mature all the sudden. Gone are the days where Hayley begs for Minnie Mouse t-shirts and in come lots of requests for denim, florals and sequins. Oh and the more sequins the better. I am trying to not let her grow up too fast and was thrilled that she picked out a Shopkins lunchbox when we were at the store and have to admit that her fashion sense is pretty spot on. Which is why Back to School shopping with Hayley is extra fun, I adore my son but after a while basketball shorts and t-shirts get boring!
Given Hayley’s recent obsession with sequins, she calls it shiny clothes, I have stared looking for new places to shop that meet up to Hayley desire for shiny and my desire for clothes that stand up to multiple washes, scooter rides, tumbling and then some. I want clothes that are soft on my baby’s skin and not the kind that become scratchy after one wash. Crazy 8 encompasses all that and then some! Crazy 8 also bring in the extra with amazing accessories that sparkle and shine. I also love how their clothes can really mix and match so you get multiple outfits from a few pieces.
It’s very important to me that my kids have clothes that they can play in. They can sit and worry about staining their clothes when they are old but for now I want them to feel confident, comfortable and the rest I can work out! Hayley decided to test out some of her new clothes on a visit to her Grandparents house this weekend. We went to the beach, rides, golf course, pool and more. Hayley let my camera tag along so that I could get photos of her in her latest and greatest outfits from Crazy 8!
Our first stop was a short walk with our dog Finnegan. Hayley brought her new harmonica to serenade us on the walk. She is obsessed with music. Hayley used to take singing lessons and loves to pretend she’s in a band. Did you know that Crazy 8 is a sponsor of The KIDZ BOP Kids “Life Of The Party” concert tour. Not only can your kid rock their back to school looks, they can also enter the Crazy 8 + KIDZ BOP Talent Search for the chance to fly to Los Angeles and star in a KIDZ BOP music video and receive a $250 Crazy 8 shopping spree! Parents can visit KIDZBOP.com/talentsearch to enter their child.
Then we all decided to head over to the beach for pizza, rides and ice cream. Hayley has just discovered her love for the Rainbow Loom which she can make headbands, bracelets and necklaces with. We all have tons of rubber band bracelets and I even have 2 rings.
We took Hayley’s scooter and went for a stroll on the golf course. The flowers were gorgeous so we thought it would be a great place to share some of Hayley’s Back to School picks from Crazy 8. Hayley was in a very silly mood!
While on the golf course we let Hayley (pretend to) drive and then I couldn’t help but take photos of her by the GORGEOUS flowers. I don’t play golf but I think I would pay money to be able to just walk through the flowers every day! My mother in law told me that they change all the flowers every season and it’s always spectacular!
Before we left to head back to reality, I got one more shot of Hayley in what she calls her “Beautiful Sweater” and her jean dress.
