If you have been on the blog or my Instagram before, I am pretty sure you know that I am a total Sports Mom.  With both Hayley and Derek playing multiple sports we are always caught up in the hustle and bustle that comes with being sports parents.  My husband coaches multiple teams, we are always running to games, looking for cash for the snack bar and thinking one day we will need a third job in the mix just to pay for all the teams and equipment!  With Little League opening weekend this past weekend, we are now deep in the trenches of baseball season and my little slugger wouldn’t have it any other way.

I swear Derek would quit school and play baseball all day if we let him, don’t worry we have already told him this is NOT an option. However, we do appease his thirst for all things baseball in other ways.  We buy him all the baseball books we can find because reading is reading so if baseball is what makes him sit with a book, so be it! Derek’s a big time Phillies fan but loves to learn about the history of the game.  He can tell you all about Babe Ruth, Hank Aaron and Derek Jeter.  When I tell you Derek lives for baseball I mean his love for the game  is deep it borders on obsession!
